Getting back into climbing post surgery

.

First picture is from Margalef back in February and the other two are from Pembroke over the weekend when I managed to send Hindenburg E7 6c.

.

I haven't posted since back in October and November when I had not one but two open heart surgeries two weeks apart. It hit pretty hard unsurprisingly, not helped by the minor stroke I had before waking up from the second surgery.

.

I had big concerns about getting back into climbing, especially since suffering from weakness and numbness on the left hand side of my body. After working with a neurophysio I made good progress.

.

I went to Margalef in February which was pretty much my first time back on rock. Tried lots and got super psyched to be back doing what I love.

.

Over the weekend I did my first trad climbing for nearly a year and after some onsighting on Friday, I invested all of my efforts into sending Hindenburg E7 6c and my efforts paid off. A stepping stone to lots more to come this year!

.

I've also started route setting full time so I'll be putting a few posts up about that now and again.
